Doctor Hotel Visit in Bang Tao
Some illness makes the journey to a clinic the hardest part. If you have been vomiting since dawn, or you cannot put weight on an ankle, getting into a taxi is its own ordeal. A doctor hotel visit in Bang Tao removes that step. A doctor and nurse come to your room with the medication, the fluids and the test kits already in the bag.
Where we come to
We cover Bang Tao, Cherng Talay, Laguna Phuket, Layan, Surin and the villa developments in between. Most visits reach the room within forty-five minutes of the call. Hotels around Laguna are usually faster than that, because it is a short drive from the clinic.
We visit hotels, resorts, private villas and rented apartments alike. Reception does not need to arrange it and there is no need to explain yourself to hotel staff if you would rather not.
What the doctor can do in your room
Far more than most people expect. The visiting bag is close to a mobile treatment room:
- Full examination, with blood pressure, temperature and oxygen readings
- IV drips for dehydration, vomiting and heat illness
- Injections for nausea, pain and allergic reactions
- Rapid tests for dengue, influenza and COVID
- Blood draws taken in the room and processed at the clinic
- Wound dressing and suture removal
- Prescription medication handed over on the spot
When a hotel visit is the right call
It suits anyone who is too unwell, too sore or too tied down to travel. The clearest cases are severe vomiting or diarrhoea, a fever that has flattened you, a badly sprained ankle, or a young child who would find a clinic waiting room distressing.
It also suits people who simply want privacy. Sexual health concerns and hangover treatment are both handled discreetly in the room, with nothing appearing on a hotel bill.
When you should not wait for us to arrive
A hotel visit adds travel time. For some problems that time matters more than the convenience does. Call 1669 for an ambulance, or get straight into a car to a hospital, if there is:
- Chest pain or difficulty breathing at rest
- A head injury with vomiting, confusion or a blackout
- Weakness or numbness down one side, or slurred speech
- Bleeding that will not stop with firm pressure
- Any drop in consciousness, or a person who cannot be roused
If you are unsure, call us and describe it. We will tell you honestly whether to wait for the doctor or go now, and we will not send a car when you need an ambulance.
What it costs
A hotel visit costs more than being seen at the clinic, because a doctor and nurse leave the building for an hour. The visit fee covers the travel and the consultation. Anything used in the room — an IV bag, an injection, a dressing, medication — is itemised on top and quoted before it is given.
You pay the doctor at the end of the visit by cash or card, and receive the same itemised receipt and English medical report you would get at the clinic, which is what your insurer will want.
Frequently asked questions
How quickly can a doctor reach my hotel?
Usually within forty-five minutes across Bang Tao, Laguna and Cherng Talay, and often sooner. At peak times, or during heavy monsoon rain, allow a little longer. We will give you a realistic time on the phone rather than an optimistic one.
How much is a doctor hotel visit in Bang Tao?
There is a fixed call-out fee that covers travel and the consultation, and treatment is itemised on top. Ask for the total when you call and we will quote it before the doctor sets off.
Is it available at night?
Yes, at any hour, every day. Night visits are common — most stomach illness and most fevers get worse after midnight.
Will the hotel know why the doctor came?
No. We do not discuss your care with hotel staff and nothing is added to your room bill. If you would rather meet the doctor in the lobby than the room, that is fine too.
Can you treat children at the hotel?
Yes. Children often do much better being seen in a familiar room than in a clinic. Tell us the child’s age and weight when you call so the right medication comes with the doctor.
